The pavilion is conceived as an addition to the new Hornby Island Arts Council, extending cultural activity from the buidling and into the landscape. It serves as a flexible venue for performance, exhibition, and gathering, supporting a wide range of artistic expression.

Constructed from surplus logs left over from the main building, the project emphasizes resourcefulness. The exploration of log connections guided both the structural logic and the detailing of the pavilion.

Together, these elements create an adaptable space that embodies the artistic energy and communal spirit of Hornby Island.
